A Special Friendship and a Cherished Beta Read

In 2009, my dear friend Libby Lloyd was in the hospital on bedrest waiting for the arrival of her boys. Since she had no where to go, I brought her all the entertainment I could find, along with my 500-page manuscript of Unauthored Letters. It seemed I should take advantage of a captured audience. :) She read the entire manuscript coaching me through my own journey while we went through the highs and lows of her journey.

When Unauthored Letters was finally published, we captured this photo which reminds me so much of that cherished time in 2009. There were times we both faced a lot of disappointments and unknowns, this photo reminds me that along with sorrows there is also joy. Libby has celebrated with me in so many ways the successes of my journey, and she has certainly been there during the bumpy parts too.
